Title One Afterschool Tutoring- 3:00 pm. til 4:00 p.m.:
Students may begin signing up with their Math, English, Science and Social
Studies teachers. Afterschool Tutorial will be mandatory for all students that are
on Academic Probation. Students will receive a letter that will require a Parent
Signature also a Permission Slip to participate in Afterschool Tutorial. The
Afterschool Tutorial schedule is as follows: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and
Friday from 3:00 – 4:00. All students are welcome to participate in Afterschool
Extended Day/Credit Recovery:
Credit Recovery/Extended Day school will begin Second Semester. Students
grades 10-12 may take 2 classes in core content areas Math, English, Science
and Social Studies. Classes will be free of charge to those students with good
attendance. More details will be provided as we move closer to Second
MIStar Parent Portal Form:
Formally Parent Connect/MiStar Parent Portal provides parents access to
student academic data and attendance information. Consent forms will be
available in the Main Office for any new to the district students or any parents
that never received a user name and password of existing students. The user
name and password is the same from last year. The link is https://sis.detroitk12.
org/Production/Parent Portal students may pick up a form in the main office. All
parents should request a password and user name.
CMA began a new entrance policy Door B is the 10th and 12th grade door and
Door A is the 9th and 11th grade door. Students must have their I.D. clipped on
their upper torso with the picture showing.

• Teen Court in conjuction with 36th District Court.
Cell Phones that are confiscated will be returned to parents on Thursday’s
between 3:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. We urge parents and students to either leave all
phones at home or keep them out of sight during the school day. Remember it’s
not just a CMA rule, it is also a violation of the district’s Student Code of Conduct.
A reminder to parents and students, CMA does not offer student parking. Student’
s who choose to drive to school must park on the street and adhere to all laws
and regulations pertaining to street parking.
School Day Starting Time:
CMA school day begins @ 8:00 a.m. Doors open @ 7:45 a.m. Free breakfast
will be offered to all students beginning Tuesday, September 3, 2013 in the
Cafeteria @ 7:30 a.m. – 7:45 a.m.

|Parent Connect Access:
All parents are encouraged to access student records via the MiStar Student
Information System. Parents can gain up to date assessment for their student’s
progress in all classes. Parents may gain access through submitting a request
form obtained in the main office.

|Breakfast Program/student a.m. drop off:
Students will not be allowed into the building before 7:30 a.m. Any student that
participates in the breakfast program should be at school before 7:20 a.m.
Parents and students, please be cautious about waiting for school to open too
early in the morning.
Parents and students the doors for A.M. school entry will not occur before 7:45 a.
m. with the change in weather. Students are encouraged to go to breakfast at
7:30 a.m. Student’s that go to breakfast are not subject to the crowd at the St.
Marys door. It is very beneficial that students take advantage of the free
