Fall 2013-2014 Applications:are now available here!!
Deadline for applications is May 17, 2013.
Open To The Community:
On Wednesday from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. the CMA Library will be open for
students and their parents to use
Prom:                                                                                                                      
 
Prom is Thursday, May 23, 2013 at 7 p.m. The location is Laurel Park 39000
Schoolcraft Road
Livonia, MI 48150. Tickets are $75.00 each which includes the dance, dinner and
prom favors. Tickets go on sale this Wednesday, May 1, 2013
Calling all Parents for PACSA:
Each school is required to have a Parent Advisory Council on Student
Achievement (PACSA).  CMA is asking parents to participate in the
training, also become a member of PACSA.  The training session begin in
April a.m. and p.m. sessions.  Please call Mrs. Odom for more details or
email her at donya.odom@detroitk12.org.
FAFSA COMPLETION INCENTIVES………………..
***
All CMA Seniors who provide proof to the counselor of
completing the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student
Aid) will receive a $10.00 discount on their prom ticket.  Our
goal is 100% FAFSA completion.
The MAC lab at CMA will be available for students/parents on
Wednesdays between 3-5 to complete the FAFSA on-line.
Another option is for parents to attend "FAFSA Fridays" at
the Welcome Center of Wayne State Univ. during the hours
of 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.  
For FAFSA assistance, contact Ms. Michelle Luck, Assistant
Director of the Office of Financial Aid, WSU.  Her telephone
number is 313-577-8664.

Parent Connect Access:
All parents are encouraged to access student records via the MiStar Student
Information System.  Parents can gain up to date assessment for their student’s
progress in all classes.  Parents may gain access through submitting a request
form obtained in the main office.
Netbooks:
Students may receive a District issued Netbook during lunch hours or
afterschool.  Students are responsible for their Netbooks.  Failure to return the
Netbooks will result in a $200.00 fine.

Saturday School:
Parents:  Student Academic Referrals for students are strictly an opportunity for
their teachers to give additional academic support.  Failure to attend Saturday
School based on an academic referral could result in grades not improving.  CMA
teachers will not give other academic opportunities to pass or excel in their
classes outside of Afterschool Tutorial and Saturday School.
Afterschool Tutorial:
begin sat 2:55 p.m. – 3:55 p.m. on Mon., Tues., Thurs., and Fri.  
Breakfast Program/student a.m. drop off:
Students will not be allowed into the building before 7:30 a.m.  Any student that
participates in the breakfast program should be at school before 7:20 a.m.  
Parents and students, please be cautious about waiting for school to open too
early in the morning.
A.M. Entrance:
Parents and students the doors for A.M. school entry will not occur before 7:45 a.
m. with the change in weather.  Students are encouraged to go to breakfast at
7:30 a.m.  Student’s that go to breakfast are not subject to the crowd at the St.
Marys door.  It is very beneficial that students take advantage of the free
breakfast.
